Wooster's building stock runs the full range, and each part of it fails differently. The older brick homes near the college were laid with soft lime mortar, and repointing them with modern hard portland mix will crack the brick faces within a few winters. The postwar ranches out toward Melrose Drive tend to need chimney crowns and veneer repair. Newer builds on the west side mostly need retaining walls and patios that were never engineered for the grade. We match the work to the house, not the other way around.
